Free advice that I am not going to take. (sorry tj)

I got this email from my brother T.J., I thought it was pretty funny and wanted to share it. However, I do not think i will take his advice, until it is at least 15 years old.

Hi Amber,
Heard you got new wheels! Sounds great, I LOVE COROLLAS! I can't wait to drive it, let me share some secrets with you and give some advice since I have had one; This is the best - If you go really fast in reverse, crank the steering wheel hard, then cram the transmission into first gear as your half way through the spin, and punch the gas all the way to the floor at the same time, it's so awesome. You can do a 180 that is very impressive, especially if the passengers inside are caught off guard... don't try it on pavement though. Come to Flag and I will show you or we can do it in July when I am in Payson. There are some great motor cross tracks on west mnt that are an absolute blast in Corollas. Keep your speed up when you go up a jump ramp, if your go in too slow you can high center the vehicle. Plus, make sure your battery is straped down, it can be easily jolted out of its case and land right in the fan and make a horrible noise. Hopefully they have fixed that engineering oversight since the ' 73 model. To get up a steep hill like totegoat hill you have to hit the base with a lot of speed, maybe 50 mph but in a low gear (try third), the motor will be screaming and it will be violently bumpy, so strap yourself in. With the speed and high RPM you will still have some torque when you slow down on the steep part up top, it would kill you're momentum to down shift at that point (I won a bet with that tactic so keep it under you hat). If you loose traction near the top try the reverse/turn/first gear trick that I explained above, that way, even though you loose you'll come out in style. Trust me, Corollas are miserable in deep mud, always have a pair of hiking shoes, shovel, cell phone, and water with you. Also take a screw driver so you can quickly remove the plates in the event that you get bogged down in the middle of a road and have to abandon it until a dryer week. You could get in trouble leaving it or even get a ticket if your blocking the road. Maybe the new ones are better in mud, that would be nice. Can't wait to find out! Is it a stick? One final pearl, you can go a long way (going slow) on three tires in a corolla, not so far with just two tires unless they are on opposite sides of the vehicle. If you lose two tires on the same side, or if you loose both front tires your hosed.
Have fun, be safe,
TJ

P.S. Did you get the extended warranty?

finally

MY NEW CAR!

after ten years of driving my first car I finally bought a new one. On Wednesday night my dad and I went car shopping and this is what i came home with! I am debating on whether or not I should put a spoiler on it what do you think, should I?

I love it! It is a little different to have knobs on all of my A/C and heater controls and not have to take the one i have left off and put it one of the others to change the temperature. Or to have to use my snow scraper to pry up the gas lever and the use my debit card to pry open the gas tank.

My old car had alot of little quirks that i have gotten used to over the years, in a small way i am sad to sell it cause it has been such a great car. But at the same time it feels great to have a car i know i can trust.
