The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Ahhh spring. I love it! I went down to my mom and dads house yesterday, walked around the yard and took pictures of all the beautiful flowers in their yard. It is so refreshing to have the sun shining again, the flowers and trees blooming, and temperatures warm enough to be outside and enjoy this time is year. Amaaazing!

Las Vegas

This past weekend me, my mom, my two sisters, my two sister-in-laws and niece all met up for a girls trip in Vegas. It was sooo much fun. I hated to come back to the cold Utah weather.

Did you enjoy the plethora of pictures. I wanted to post more but for some reason it wouldn't let me. That is probably a good thing.

We had such a nice relaxing trip. We ate, walked the strip, saw the Lion King (which, by the way was amazing, great costumes), ate some more, sat by the gorgeous pool that had a sand beach and was surrounded by palm trees and beautiful flowers, ate some more, laughed a lot, shopped, enjoyed the hot tub, saw the botanical gardens at the Bellagio. Oh and did I mention, we ate a lot of really good food?

Easter '10

Despite having some weird, random sickness over Easter weekend I was able to enjoy the time spent with my family while we enjoyed conference and celebrated the life and resurrection of our Savior.
Mark's family came down for the weekend. We went and saw How to Train you Dragon. It is a really cute movie ,you should definitely see it
Cael loved his "computer geek glasses."

My family has a tradition of rolling Easter eggs down Peteetneet hill the day before Easter. This year we "bowled for Gehrig" he was so excited when he saw all the eggs rolling down the hill at him at the same time!

Kammi taught us one of her families Easter traditions, peppering Easter eggs. You pick an egg and tap the pointed end against somebody Else's egg together. Only one egg will crack. The one that doesn't crack gets to go again. Once an egg has been peppered twice without cracking it moves on to the championship round. Jake and I were in the championship round and my egg won!

why is it that....

every time i have a problem with my ipod or computer or anything electronic, I cannot for the life of me get it to work? But when i take said ipod or computer to a guy all he has to do is touch it and it will work. I mean this is after i spent an hour searching the internet looking up how to restart my ipod because it is not turning on. According to google all I have to do is push the toggle back and forth while holding down the center and menu button simultaneously. Trying without succcess to restore it and finally getting so frustrated with it I threw it on the floor and walked away. The next day I took it up to Clint's and what does he do? He pushes the toggle back and forth, pushes the center and menu button down simultaneously and guess what...it turned on! HE DID THE EXACT SAME THING I DID! This isn't only a one time occurrence either. I swear this is how it always goes.

Oh well hopefully someday electronics will work properly for me. I can alway hope right?

A mell of a hess

I put my camera through the wash. Despite my best efforts to revive it, it is dead. but if i did have a camera, and I wasn't panicking i would have taken a picture very similar to this when I was so rudely awoken by a loud noise at 3:30 a.m.this morning:

Yep, my bathroom was flooding and i panicked. When things are calm i could tell you right off the bat where the water shut off is. but in the middle of the night, woke from a very deep sleep, and home alone, as well as having 4+ inches of water swirling at my feet i panicked. I tried calling my upstairs neighbor for help. He didn't answer. I rang his doorbell and the guys across the halls numerous times. Still no answer. All the while my bathroom and hallway are filling up with even more water. Finally I pulled out the ward directory, said a little prayer that someone would answer. i called Mike across the hall. He came to my rescue! He shut the water off, and then we began shoveling the water into the shower and sink with cups. We got this all done and decided there was nothing else we could do until a reasonable hour when I could call my landlord and notify him. The carpet was (and still is) soaking wet. when we stepped on it it would seep up around your foot. My landlord rented a vacuum and vacuumed up 6 inches of water. And the carpet is still soaking wet, so now we have a really loud industrial fan blowing on carpet that has been pulled up. sleeping is not going to be easy tonight, or maybe it will be since i only got 3 hours last night. I am hoping for the latter, where i just crash and the noise doesn't bother me. It was just so random. I can't believed it happened.
Letter to Mike:
Dear Mike, I am really sorry for the early morning wake up call. But Thank you SOO much for your help.

Payson Gets a Temple!

I just heard some great news. My little hometown of Payson, Utah is getting an L.D.S temple. My mom has been saying for years that Payson would one day have a temple on P hill. She was right on Payson getting a temple just a little off on the location. Either way I am excited for it. you can see the site and get more info here.

I've been Creatin'

This is the very first quilt that I made...

I started it at the age of 1o and I finished it at the age of 18.By the time I was done I hated it. It was too little girl for me.

This is the quilt that i just finished....
Here a couple of close ups of the squares....

This quilt only took me a year, but in all fairness to me it was only a couple of months of me working on it when I had time on Saturdays. I finished sometime in February/march-ish but didn't get around to binding it til my Christmas break last month. I love how it turned out. My mom taught me how to do it, trust me I wouldn't dare take this on alone. Thanks for all your help Mom! I will be starting another quilt soon. I got the fabric for it for Christmas and I love the colors on it.
